Information Causality without Concatenation
نویسندگان
چکیده
Information causality is a physical principle which states that the amount of randomly accessible data over classical communication channel cannot exceed its capacity, even if sender and receiver have access to source nonlocal correlations. This can be used bound nonlocality quantum mechanics without resorting full formalism, with notable example reproducing Tsirelson's Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt inequality. Despite being promising, latter result found little generalization other Bell inequalities because limitations imposed by process concatenation, in several nonsignaling resources are put together produce tighter bounds. In this work, we show concatenation successfully replaced limits on capacity. It allows us rederive and, some cases, significantly improve all previously known results simpler manner apply information unapproachable scenarios.

Fault-tolerant Computation without Concatenation
It has been known that error-correction via concatenated codes can be done with exponentially small failure rate if the error rate for physical qubits is below a certain accuracy threshold (probably ∼ 10–10). Other, un-concatenated codes with their own attractive features—e.g., an accuracy threshold ∼ 10—have also been studied. A method to obtain universal computation is presented here which do...

متن کاملHigh-resolution species trees without concatenation.
The vast majority of phylogenetic models focus on resolution of gene trees, despite the fact that phylogenies of species in which gene trees are embedded are of primary interest. We analyze a Bayesian model for estimating species trees that accounts for the stochastic variation expected for gene trees from multiple unlinked loci sampled from a single species history after a coalescent process. ...
متن کاملSyntax without Abstract Objects Nominalizing the Theory of Concatenation
Nominalists deny the existence of abstract objects. In view of the notoriously shadowy and intractable character of the latter, the formers’ thesis certainly has a strong initial appeal to anyone sharing even the least bit of a naturalistic bent. But even though many philosophers nowadays do exhibit this inclination, the vices and virtues of nominalism remain a live issue in contemporary debate...
